Recent stonework projects

01.

Dry Stone Farm Wall

This boundary wall was built using stone excavated from within the property during renovation works, allowing us to reuse original materials and keep everything in character with its surroundings. Each piece was carefully selected and set by hand, following traditional dry stone techniques to ensure strength and stability.

The wall now forms a natural division between the garden and farmyard, blending seamlessly into the landscape while giving new purpose to reclaimed stone that would otherwise have been lost.

02.

Coniston Slate Pillar

A bespoke pillar constructed using natural Coniston slate, carefully selected and hand dressed to achieve a clean, consistent finish. The natural variation in the stone adds depth and texture, giving the build a strong, characterful presence.

Paired with timber detailing, the result is a well-balanced feature that feels both solid and refined, sitting comfortably within the overall design.

03.

Garden Wall

Part of the original front boundary wall was removed to open up the space, improving access and allowing room for a new driveway. In its place, we created a smaller return wall using mixed sandstone recovered during the works, keeping the build in character with the existing property.

The top of the wall was designed as a planted feature, filled with soil and finished with salvaged sedum from the site. This softens the stonework and adds a natural, established feel, turning a simple boundary into something more considered and visually interesting.
